Resurrection Vintage

These last few months I have been focused on creating this new collection aptly named RESURRECTION VINTAGE. It is a concoction of vintage jewelry that I have amassed over time, and now have taken them all apart to create new jewelry. Vintage jewelry from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, are made into earrings and necklaces and although combined with bright gemstones, still retain their antiqueness but speak a new language.
I love the flower themes from these eras, just visually rich in texture and boldness, such as the large flower enamels, and the filigrees on the earrings are just lovely!
There is something beautiful about recycling these pieces in a time of excessiveness. We should already use what is available and at the same time help reduce harm to our environment. So this is my “green” way.
We all should own something that has been handed down, be it from our families or friends. My grandmother left me her rose gold with old mine cut diamond earrings, jewelry that I have worn on my wedding day and will again wear for my brother’s wedding in Greece. It is a way to bring in my grandmother’s presence in these special moments.
Happy Spring!
